What is a candlestick?
A candlestick represents price movement during a specific period, such as one minute, one hour, or one day.
Four important prices
Every candlestick contains four main prices:
- Open: the starting price.
- Close: the ending price.
- High: the highest price reached.
- Low: the lowest price reached.
Bullish and bearish candles
A bullish candle closes above its opening price. A bearish candle closes below its opening price. Candles can also show indecision when opening and closing prices are close together.
